Prego - casual and upscale Italian restaurants at The Westin Mumbai Garden City introduces Chef Sameer as the culinary lead of the outlet. Moving beyond your average pasta and pizza joint, the kitchen helmed by Sameer strikes the fine balance between creativity and accessibility. With his experience at varied renowned venues across the city, he has curated a menu that has concocted the rustic and robust Italian flavours.

 

A three-time silver medalist at the 'Great Indian Culinary Challenge', Sameer brings with him extensive experience in the hospitality industry, handling numerous specialty restaurants.  He began his culinary career in a specialty restaurant called 'Corleone' at The Intercontinental Hotel in Mumbai, where he learned the nuances of Italian cuisine. Before joining The Westin Mumbai in 2021, he had the opportunity to master his art with various leading hospitality brands like the Taj, Leela and Novotel. He was a part of the pre-opening key leadership team of the popular restaurant - 'Cin Cin' at BKC, Mumbai, where he part took in menu concept and selection, food styling and presentations and beyond. 

 

Sameer's expertise doesn't stop in the kitchen, his unique ideas, distinct techniques, organizational skills, and leadership qualities add value to his role. Through his culinary journey, Chef Sameer has been learning and mastering the cuisine and is all ready to whip up mouth-watering authentic Italian dishes for the guests at Prego.
